The Reluctant Earl by C.J. Chase ~ Review

The Reluctant Earl

Lucie's Review:
Julian inherits his family's title after the of his father, when he get's a mysterious letter implying that his father's death was no accident. So he goes to his older sister for help, and finds the governess, Miss Leah Vance rifling through his things.
Leah is a spy for the resistance, it isn't nescessarily her cause but she needs the to help her sister who is being kept in an assylum.
Together Leah and Julian must band together to uncover who is trying to harm them.

A intriguing and complex tale with twists and turns enough to keep your head spinning. The character are not what they first appear to be, which kept me guessing and reading. This book was a bit slow to start, but after the first bit it really picked up, big time!

Leah and Julian had pretty good interaction, and learning to trust each other. I loved how this book kept be me guessing who the bad guy was til the very end. I had no clue!

Overall a very satisfying read, that kept me guessing til the end, because just when I thought it was over, it wasn't! A action packed read, with wonderful faith-filled characters.

I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
