The Lawman's Honor by Linda Goodnight ~ Review

The Lawman's Honor (Whisper Falls, #4)

Lucie's Review:
Cassie Blackwell is the energetic owner of Whisper Falls' beauty salon, but inside she is still numb from the death of her husband.
Heath is on his way to his new job and new life in Whisper Falls as the new assistant police chief, but his misses a turn in the thunderstorm and finds himself in a wreck on the side of the mountain. When Cassie finds him she calls for help, but the thunderstorm uncovers secrets from the past, secrets about he husband that she isn't sure that she can face. As an investigation reopens around Cassie's husband's former activities, and the more Heath get's to know her the less he wants to find her late husband guilty...

A great book full of zest and zing. It has strong characters, great themes, and a dramatic ending. I didn't want to put this one down!

The characters were well written and developed, I loved the interaction between Cassie and Heath, it was natural and meaningful. Both Cassie and Heath are both so relatable as Christians struggling in difficult circumstances that challenge their faith and are beyond their control.

Overall this was a fantastic read, and probably my favorite Whisper Falls book so far! This book was compelling, and heartfelt yet also sweet. I especially liked the scenes with Cassie and Heath together, their dialogue was just so well done. Highly recommend!
