Sins of the Past by Dee Henderson, Dani Pettrey & Lynette Eason ~ Review

Sins of the PastLucie's Review:

Missing finds Police Chief John Graham dropping everything to he finds that his mother has gone missing. He flies to Chicago, his hometown, and meets with Sharon Noble, the detective assigned to his mother's case.

Sharon is dedicated to the case, and knows that John wants to be useful, so she let's him be a part of the investigation, and gives him tasks to help move the case along.

I loved John's strong faith and his concern and care for his mother. This is a fast paced police drama, that follows John and Sharon as they search for answers, and learn to trust and respect one another.

In Shadowed, set in 1979, Ben McKenna takes Libby Jennings out on his charter boat off the coast of Alaska to see the whales. It doesn't bother Libby that she is the only one who showed up for the tour.

Libby is a competitive swimmer, in town for a race, and she wants to soak up as much of the beautiful scenery as she can. But while they are out on the tour, they come across the body of one of the other swim competitor's, a swimmer named, Kat.

Set during the Cold War, this is a action packed read filled with murder, mystery, spies, romance, and faith. I loved how it brought back the McKenna family, and the interaction between Libby and Ben. A great bonus to the McKenna Saga.

In Blackout, when Chad Latham hears his neighbor, Macey's, scream he knows something is wrong, and vaults the fence. He get's there right in the nick of time to protect her, and as a witness and police detective, he makes Macey's case his top priority.

Macey is an EMT and she's been trying to let go of her past for 6 years. Chad has been wanting to get to know Macey since they became neighbors, and he is quick to offer his support. His faith is strong, and they work together to figure out the puzzle of her past and what it means for her future.

A riveting story with fantastic characters, and a heartpounding mystery, with great interaction. it made for a page turning read. A terrific read through and through, each story stands on it's own, and it's a must read for the Christian Suspense fan in your life!
