Pony Express Hero by Rhonda Gibson ~ Review

Pony Express Hero (Saddles and Spurs #2)Lucie's Review:

Jacob Young is at the right place at the right time, and saves a little girl named Daisy from an oncoming stampede. Daisy just so happens to be the little sister of Jacob's new boss, Lilly Johnson.

Lilly has her hands full running a ranch and raising her younger sister, Daisy. She knows that Daisy couldn't have gotten to that canyon on her own, so she resolves not to let her sister out of her sight, but that means she has to take her everywhere with her.

Will and Lilly and Jacob be able to keep Daisy safe?

Lilly is a strong capable woman who loves her sister, she hasn't had many friends in her life, but she befriends Willow, the woman she hires to watch Daisy, and finds a loyal friend in Jacob. Jacob is more than happy to help Lilly, even though he doesn't technically work for her, which drives the foreman, Sam, crazy.

I liked how Jacob shared his faith with Lilly, reading his Bible to her and Daisy at night. Jacob hasn't had an easy life, but he has made the best of his life, and he is the oldest of the Young Clan, he has to overcome his insecurities to help Lilly solve the mystery and keep Daisy safe.

Overall, a book that starts with a bang, with great characters that you can cheer for, with good dialog. I fell in love with the delightful Daisy, who is very talkative and active, and wants to have things her way. I love how Jacob bonded with her, and became her friend. A lovely read.
