Trusting the Cowboy by Carolyne Aarsen ~ Review

Trusting the Cowboy (Big Sky Cowboys #2)
Lucie's Review:

In order to inherit her father's ranch Lauren McCauley must stay at her father's ranch for 2 months, like her sister before her.

Vic Moore has been leasing the McCauley Ranch for the last three years, his family owns the neighboring ranch. Vic and Keith McCauley had a handshake deal that Vic was leasing to own the ranch, but now that Keith is gone, Vic has nothing in writing and Lauren has a buyer all lined up to snap the place up at a price that Vic could never match.

Will Vic help Lauren fall in love with the ranch again?

I like how Vic handles the difficult situation he's in, he helps Lauren around the ranch and does his best not to make it personal. He is a strong man of faith, and a true blue cowboy hero, he respects Lauren and her wishes, listening to what she says and offering friendship.

Lauren comes to Montana with a plan but the more she sees of her father's ranch, the more options she realizes that she has. Lauren was betrayed by her former fiance, but Vic soon proves that he is made of different stuff.

Overall, a wonderful story, engaging, with great interaction between the characters. I loved revisiting Saddlebank, Montana, and all the familiar faces.
