Lucie's Review:
After quitting her job at Hollister Reality, Caron Hollister agrees to go wo a wedding expo with her friend Margo, who is engaged to be married. At the expo, Caron wins an all expense paid destination wedding. The only problem is that Caron and her boyfriend, Alex, aren't even engaged!
Alex Madison has spent much of his life caring for his mother, and working as an air conditioner repairman. Alex is a kind man with a complex history, he and Caron are close, and know each other's fears and dreams. He understands much of Caron's childhood, as she has spent most of her life trying to please her father.
Kade Webster is an old acquaintance, a realtor in Colorado who used to work with Caron at Hollister, and he asks her to help him stage a house after his stager runs into a family emergency. Kade enjoys his job, and I liked his friendship with his Army Ranger friend, Mitch, and how he works to help Mitch and his fiancé, Lacey find a home so they can start their life together.
I loved revisiting Vanessa and Logan, the couple from the last book, and the good advice they gave Caron as she questioned her life and relationships.
Overall, this was a great read with a wonderful cast of characters, and amazing dialogue. I loved the natural and realistic humorous touches. A great plot, and great interaction and relationships between the various characters. Will Caron turn to God in the midst of life's storms?
