Lucie's Review:
A cold case murder converges with a more recent murder, Belle Montera and her K-9 partner, Justice, join forces with US Marshal Emmett Gage to track down the killer.
A fast-paced, engaging read, and I loved that the story operates in the same world as previous books in the series, so familiar faces do pop up.
Belle is a strong, disciplined woman, with a wonderful, close knit family. I loved how supportive they are, as well as welcoming. I admired her faith and quick thinking. I also loved learning about the training of the K-9's, which showed great researching.
Emmett is a very honorable man, he takes his responsibilities seriously. He fits right in with Belle's teammates, and I liked his respect for them and they work that they do.
Overall, a entertaining read, with fantastic human and canine characters that you can root for all the way through. Strong character and faith come together, in this high stakes suspense. Highly enjoyable!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
