Torvald is an honorable knight, known for his integrity, he will do his duty, but can promise no more. His harden exterior hides a passionate soul, and I liked that he didn't want to make promises that he couldn't keep or give Karina false hope. Karina is a beautiful young woman, devoted to God, and willing to do her duty. I admired her determination to keep trying to win Torvald despite his reception of her being initially cold.
Overall, a Medieval romance inspired by the legends of King Arthur, filled with romance, adventure and faith. A wonderful series, with compelling characters, virtuous maidens and daring knights. Perfect for fans of marriage of convenience romances, fairy-tale fantasy ret-tellings.
