Mystery in the Crooked Creek Woods by Amanda Cleary Eastep // Review

Review:

Jack and his friends are on the case!

Strange lights at night, and mysterious artifacts, have them wondering if there is something going on in Crooked Creek Woods or if it is just their imaginations getting carried away with them.

A wonderful addition to this wholesome series, I loved getting to know the characters better and better with each book. This one was especially fun with the added suspense of a mystery, as well as the humor that make me laugh aloud in Ellison and Jack's short story. This story has great themes of justice, friendship, and faith.

Overall, a wonderful read, great for middle grader readers or as a family read aloud. I loved how this series encourages a love of learning, as well as the 1990's setting that brings back feelings of nostalgia from simpler times. This series just keeps on delivering, and I can't wait to see what is in store next for the Tree Street Kids!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
