Hearts of Gold by Grace Hitchcock // Review

My Review:

The Bridal Shop

Alice has worked hard to build up her bridal shop after scandal, taking on elite clients. But will she have to choose between her business and her heart?

A charming read right from the start, I liked that Giles didn't take a passenger seat to the maneuvering going on around him and fought for what his heart desired. There was great interaction throughout, as well as solid themes of faith. I liked that Abigail had a true friend in Meg.

A lovely read that brought a smile to my face.

Miss Beaumont's Companion

The premise of this one drew me right in from the start as Aria is forced to impersonate her employer's daughter at at masked ball to make a favorable impression on a prespective suitor.

Byron is admirable in that he wants to do good with what he has been given, he wants more than his life than to chase prestige and titles. I loved his heart for others, and how he is willing to stand up for those he believes in. Witty banter, a charming heroine, and love against the odds makes this story a winner!

The Becoming of Miss Blanche

Pinkerton Agent Jasper Cafferty's vacation turns out to be more than he bargained for when he comes face to face with the woman he never forgot, can he fight for their future while fighting off her past?

A wonderful western adventure, filled with humor, action and plenty of heart. Jasper is protective and willing to help out. I liked that he wasn't above dealing with some stubborn mules. Tacy is a hardworking waitress, who has been hurt in the past. I liked that she is willing to stand up for herself and hasn't given up despite the many set backs in her life. Longtime fans of Grace Hitchcock will recognize some characters from others books, which was a happy added bonus for me!

Overall, a wonderful collection of novellas, with strong heroes who are willing to fight for their love. Well paced stories that never failed to bring a smile to my face, with the charming interaction between the leading characters. Engaging romances tied together with faith. Highly recommend!
