A wonderful companion novel to Georgana's Secret, it also stands well on its own.
May Byam is a young lady with a tainted family history, she takes a job at sea as a lady's companion to the captain's wife. At sea she forges friendships, finds adventure, and perhaps even love in unexpected places.
May and Elias get off on the wrong foot, but as they spend more time together they begin to see other sides of each other, as they both work towards a new future in light of their pasts. A story that comes alive with a rich backstory and well developed characters, in this enjoyable clean historical novel set at sea.
Overall, a well written romance, with great characters, good interaction and unlikely romance. An enjoyable read, great as a stand alone or as a companion novel to Georgana's Secret!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
