A father-son camping trip turns dastardly when Dekker Hoyt's father is kidnapped by a serial killer. Now he and investigative analyst Blaire Tremblay are in a race against the clock to save him.
Dekker and his father haven't had the best relationship, so taking a trip together is a big step for restoring their relationship. But it is interrupted by his father's kidnapping, he and Blaire must solve the taunting clues of the serial killer before he kills Dekker's father.
A fast-paced read that takes place over the course of a few days. There's a lot going on, with good relationship building, good interaction, with strong themes of faith and family. Blaire is dedicated to her job, and is there for Dekker during this stressful time. Engaging read with lots of action and interaction. Definitely recommend!
