Luke Duffy is juggling a lot as he works to save his family's ranch, and everything seems to be against him.
Luke struggles with the anxiety of not losing his ranch, he's under a lot of pressure. It's a slower going read, as we get to know the characters. Not your typical ranch western, as it seems like his father before him bit off more than they can chew. Arabella works in PR, and they come to ranch for her daughter to take part in the horse therapy. I liked how Luke makes time to spend time with Bella and her daughter, and that they share a common faith.
Heartwarming read, a little trickier to get into for me, seemed a little more tell than show. Some parts didn't seem super realistic to ranch life, but maybe I'm picky since I grew up on a cattle ranch. Sweet romance and good interaction in this heartwarming tale.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
