South of Somewhere by T.I. Lowe // Review

My Review:

Juniper Wilder is ready for a fresh start, going back to her late grandmother's home she works hard to make a stable life for herself to prove to her brother that she is in control of her life again.

A heartwarming and reflective read, with a full cast of characters that embrace Juni from her geriatric probation officer and his wonderfully flawed, and colorful friends, to her mysterious next door neighbhor. Engaging, with a humanity to the storytelling, with flawed, but lovable characters, with a core of faith.

I liked the themes of second chances, forgiveness and family. Juniper is a likable heroine, doing her best to fight her demons and make a better tomorrow for herself and her daughter. I liked that she is also able to find humor in her situation along the way.

Overall, an emotional, honest, and heartwarming read. Full of faith, and honest struggles, I liked that the characters felt tangible and human in their imperfections. A memorable read, with a heroine ou can't help but cheer for all the way through.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
