The Sower's Seed by Brock Eastman and Shaun Stevenson // Review

My Review:

Welcome to Parable Port, the place where Biblical parables come to life.

Anthony is new in town, and just getting acquainted with his new home, when strange things start happening, and it is up to him and new friends, J.R. Brooklyn, Duck, and Grace to fight back with truth and save the town.

Engaging and original, with strong Biblical themes and gospel core, perfect as a read-aloud or for middle-grade readers. I liked the clean humor, that stays out of the bathroom. It has a full cast of fun and quirky characters that appeal to both boys and girls. The kids are all at different points in their faith, and I liked how they grow and learn from each other, as well as their grandmotherly Sunday school teacher that they fondly call Abuelita.

Overall, this new series is a winner for parents and kids alike, with a fast-paced plot that draw inspiration from the parables of Jesus. The children learn to face fears, fight evil, cling to the good, and search for truth. Excellent series for young readers, great for sparking the love for reading or fanning the flame. Highly recommend this new series!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
