Jake Marston knows what it's like to be burned when it comes to love, but he can't help but find himself drawn to the charming, and engaged, sister of his friend, Julia. How can Jake love the woman of his dreams when she appears to be engaged to another?
I absolutely LOVED this charming Christmas novella. That characters were well developed and that dialogue was just excellent! I loved how the conversations and teasing between the characters was warm and natural, pulling me into the tale.
All of the characters really popped out at me and even though the story was short the main and secondary characters were so well developed. I couldn't help but chuckle at Picasso and Caroline's fiery love/annoyance relationship :)
An utterly charming book from beginning to end. I don't want to give away too much in this review, so I definitely recommend that you check this one out!
I received this ebook from the author in return for an honest review. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this awesome review, Faye! I'm tickled that you enjoyed my Jake and Julia & Co. in Starlight. I've had a number of readers suggest a return to Starlight next year. What do you think? Hmmm... Blessings to you and I appreciate your taking the time to read and review Meet Me Under the Mistletoe!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by! I think a return to Starlight would be awesome! You are totally welcome, JoAnn, it was a pleasure!
DeleteFaye, great review on a book I just finished. I loved it too! JoAnn is so talented! Her characters are so lovable and "human," with their foibles, sensitivities, etc.
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Such a wonderful read!
