Love Takes the Cake by Betsy St. Amant ~ Review

Love Takes the Cake: A September Wedding Story (A Year of Weddings Novella 2, #10)
Lucie's Review:

Charlotte Cantrell runs a bakery called The Dough Knot, where she sells muffins, cookies, petit fours, but the guy who comes every morning, always orders snickerdoodles. So one day when he mentions a wedding, she assumes that he is the groom, though in reality he is the best man.

Will Martin offers to help out his buddy when the bride breaks down at the bakery, leaving Will with Charlotte to help pick out the cake and other desserts.

Can Will and Charlotte work through their pasts in order to find a bright new future?

I loved the way that Will interacted so naturally with Zoe, Charlotte's daughter, and praised Charlotte for being a great mother.

Will is so honorable, and responsible, with a former military career. He takes his faith seriously and likes how Charlotte is different from every other girl he's known.

A well written story, that is engaging and fast paced, yet also sweet and heart felt. Great characters, humor and dialogue, definitely recommend!
