Lucie's Review:
Trevor Reynolds follows through on his promise to Brad Cartwright, returning home to King's Meadow.
Brad's sister, Penny, isn't happy to see Trevor back. She blames him for her brother's death.
Can she forgive, and open her heart to love?
Penny is the town librarian, she tries to help her dad as much as she can, but she struggles with her grief and anger.
Trevor is friendly to everyone and he tries to help Penny as much as he can, despite her constant rejections. I like Trevor and his determination, he knows he doesn't have the answers but he is open to God's word, and wants to do what Brad would have wanted.
Overall, this is a fantastic read, full of faith, family and forgiveness. I loved Rodney Cartwright, Penny's father. He's the real deal, a cowboy, a Christian, great father, and a hardworking man. I loved his conversations with Trevor, there was great dialog throughout, but Trevor and Rodney's talks were my favorite! A fantastic read from beginning to end, with great character progression and growth, engaging from the start, and filled with hope.
