Provenance by Carla Laureano // Review

Review:

Interior stylist Kendall Green is drawn to Jasper Lake by a promising inheritance from a grandmother she never knew. In Jasper Lake she meets Gabriel Brandt the young mayor, bent on turning the town with an aging population around. Will Kendall find the answers to the questions surrounding her provenance?

A moving read, with well developed characters in a inviting small mountain community. Engaging read with well built characters that felt honest, I liked learning along with Kendall more about her origins and the circumstances that brought her to where she is now. Gabe is a natural leader, with people skills and a core of integrity, and I liked that he stood firm on his beliefs.

Overall, a pleasant small town romance, that tackles faith, love, and family in a moving and engaging way, The characters were likable, and I loved getting to know the residents of Jasper Lake. Strong themes of faith, and new friendships.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
