A Heart's Disguise by Colleen Coble ~ Review

Lucie's Review:

The first in a six part series, A Heart Disguise introduces Sara Montgomery, whose fiance, Rand Campbell, was killed in the Civil War. So at the urging of her family she accepts the proposal of Ben Croftner. But after she finds that rand is still alive, she breaks her engagement to Ben and Rand takes her to be with him where he will be stationed in Fort Laramie.

I'll be upfront, I'm not sure I like the 6 part format. I feel that it is just too short! It was well written and easy to read, but it was over much too soon, and I have a sinking feeling that things are going to get much worse before they get better for poor Sara!

It is a good start to the series, but I simply feel that breaking this story into 6-parts it just too many. I think maybe a number like 3 or 4 might have been more fitting, but that's just me. But I will definitely be waiting for the net installment, so I can find out what will happen next!
