Lucie's Review:
It's been six years since Abby broke up with him and married a wealthier man, they never thought they'd see each other again, but then they joined the same wagon train.
Abby has lived through a lot of disappointments in life, when her husband died leaving her without any funds. Yet Abby has stayed strong, she knows she doesn't know a lot about cooking, or life on the range, but she is willing to learn and determined to make it.
I really liked Emma, who is Ben's sister, and she is a good friend to Abby, and encourages her to help others.
Ben is understandably cautious around Abby at first, but when he sees her kindness and determination, he remembers why he loved her the first time. I liked how he was always willing to help others out.
Overall, this was a lovely story. I liked the setting of a wagon train, and I thought the story was well paced. I loved how this showed the challenges of being on a wagon train along with the friendships and bonds that were forged through the fire of a life changing experience.
