Lucie's Review:
Heather Larson-Randall and her son, Colin, have returned to take over the family farm. But the reason for their return is a sad, one, Heather's brother, Seth has died, but the circumstances surrounding his death are just not adding up. On top of that she's been receiving strange phone calls, and even catches someone lurking outside her house.
The someone happens to be Tyler Griffin, who works with the DEA and the IBETs task force, and he had been working with her brother to find out who was using the farm to ship drugs. Tyler and Seth had been getting so close, and Seth had been keeping a journal of everything going on, but Tyler doesn't know where he hid it.
Will Heather and Tyler be able to find the journal and bring Seth's killers to justice?
This was a great story, I really liked how Tyler worked to connect with Colin, despite thinking that kids wouldn't like him since he never grew up with a family. And he is a great supporter when the stress get's to be too much.
Heather's husband died while serving with the armed forces, and so she's been used to doing everything herself and being independent.
Overall, this is a great book with plenty of action and a lot going on, I loved the setting and the main characters, Tyler and Heather from the start. This book has plenty of mysteries to solve. All in all a great read!
