Lucie's Review:
Joy Jorgenson was born on Christmas Day 86 years ago, and she has always loved Christmas. She runs a blog called Christmas Joy, and this year she has decided to do something special with all of the Christmas Decorations that she has accumulated over the years, but she won't be alone on her Christmas Joy Ride.
Miranda Fortner is going through a really rough time when she agrees to accompany Joy on her trip. Miranda's husband just left her, and she just lost her job, with her house now in foreclosure, leaving her with not much holding her back from keeping an eye on Joy during their trip.
So in an old motor home, decked from top to bottom in lights and bright decor, Joy and Miranda embark on their journey to bring Christmas Joy to the winners of Joy's contest!
This is a delightful read, that brought a smile on my face, and had me counting down the days until Christmas! Joy and Miranda do so much more than just drop off decorations, they help put them up and Joy has special surprises planned at every stop.
I loved how Joy wanted to help people celebrate Christmas and bring joy into their lives. I loved how Miranda caught the spirit and found joy despite all the struggles in her life.
Overall, this is a heartwarming Christmas adventure, a fast paced read that put a smile on my face until the very last page was turned down, as well as for many hours after as I remembered Joy and Miranda. In my mind, the best Christmas novel by Melody Carlson that I have read so far!
