As the relationship grows, each must decide whether to reveal the truth about their past mistakes, lost dreams, and fears for a chance to love again.

Review:

You are never too old for new love.

Heartwarming and at times heartbreaking, this beautiful story follows Lou and Essie as they navigate the modern world of online dating, and facing secrets from their pasts. I was initially intrigued by this book because of it's older protagonists, and I'm a huge advocate for not letting the young people have all the fun. I loved how it followed octogenarians Lou and Essie, as well as those around them, like Essie's daughter and Lou's dear friend Hank. 

Engaging, nostalgic, and filled with hope. I loved how the in depth backstory and flashbacks work well within the framework of this story, showing snapshots of their pasts and how it affects their present day, their hurts and hope. The characters were well developed and I liked how we got to see them through the lense of their past and present, they were realistic and relatable, and I loved that they were surrounded by amazing supportive people. 

Overall, a beautiful story of hope and heartache, dealing with love and loss. Well developed characters, excellent, engaging plot, that works well with a strong backstory. Definitely recommend this enjoyable and touching read.
