Review:
An engaging regency romance, with a winsome heroine, a reserved but dashing hero, both with obligations to their families that stand in the way of them being together.
I loved how the Maxwell's take Pearl under their wings, to help her navigate society during a season. They are a warm and welcoming older couple, like a second set of parents to Pearl, and a wonderful example of faith and love in a marriage. There is a lot going on with all of the events and social gatherings, as Pearl's parents push her ever closer to an unwanted match.
Overall, this is a well written and entertaining Regency Era romance, with a well paced plot, as well as excellent and endearing characters. Nicholas is a more reserved man, respectful, but he also knows when to make a statement. He is a man of faith, with a kind heart, open to new ideas and is supportive of Pearl throughout. Perfect read for fans of regency romance!
