Lucie's Review:Dru is the youngest of the Porter clan, she grew up in the shadow of her three brothers, and always felt that she had to compete to fit in. She spent some time in the Marines and now is an executive protection agent, tasked with protecting Foot Ball Player, Gray Fowler, who has recently been receiving threats.
Gary doesn't like that his bodyguard is a woman, so he insists that Dr pretend to be his girlfriend. But Dru isn't interested in being other one on a long list of short term flings, even if it's all...pretend?
Dru has become a Christian, and it's important to her, and she let's Gray know where she stands. She's still struggling with mistakes in her past, but she is honest about where she is at, and I like that.
Gray is a good football player, and he works hard, plays hard. He's has had a tough childhood, and he often let's it color his perceptions.
I really liked how this book keeps up with the whole Porter Clan, especially Meg and Bo, and their sweet miracle. I love how their love has matured, and they still think the world of each other.
I love the camaraderie and warmth of Porter family reunions, they are always teasing, but always there for each other in the end. And the dialog is well done and engaging throughout.
Overall, a well written read that I couldn't put down, excellent romantic tension and intriguing characters that I grew to love. I love how Dru is a strong heroine, who puts others first. And ray really grew on me throughout the story. A fantastic conclusion to the Porter Family Series, a must read for fans of this remarkable family!
