Ella moved to Alaska to escape an abusive relationship, and she wants to use her new life to help others by volunteering in search and rescue. But when her son the most precious thing in Ella's life going missing she must recruit the help of Josiah, who is determined to find the boy and return him to his mother.

But will they have what it takes to keep him safe?

Though Ella and Josiah appear from the outside to be very different, they find that they have more in common than they could have guessed with their secrets from the past.

Josiah was a great hero, kind, determined, and dedicated.

There was a lot going on, and I soon found that I couldn't put this book down! I liked that it had its suspenseful moments, yet it also had its softer moments that balanced it out and brought a rounded out full feel to the story. Fantastic read!
