The Anniversary Waltz by Darrel Nelson ~ Glass Road Blog Tour & Review

The Anniversary Waltz: A novel
My Review: A tale of a love that triumphs over adversities, in a touching and stunningly real way.

A skillfully written debut, about faith, and persevering in love. The Anniversary Waltz a heart-breakingly beautiful debut that focuses in on a happily married couple celebrating 60 wonderful years together. As they waltz, their memories take them back many years ago, to when they met, and the hardships they overcame to be together, through an unwavering faith.

I liked how the characters interacted and reacted very naturally. I absolutely loved the setting and I can totally see this being made into a movie of epic emotional proportions. The story was told in a  straightforward style that wrapped itself around my heart. A book that is satisfying to the core.

Overall, this book is overwhelmingly memorable, a tale that I will not soon forget! And I'm pretty sure that this isn't the last we will be hearing from Darrel Nelson. I loved how I was able to connect quickly with the main characters, and how much I came to see them as real people. I think one of my favorite characters was Lee Yang, who was a shrewd business man with a good heart, and a quirk of humor about him. The Anniversary Waltz is a book that will take you on a gripping journey that will yank at your heart strings.

I received this book from the publisher in return for an honest review.
